Located in Waterloo, this florist cafe has a lovely ambiance and fresh decor and is one of the perfect places to visit for a lazy weekend brunch. The dining area is quite small but we came here on a weekday and managed to get a table straightaway.
We ordered two dishes and the totoro cake. The first dish was the ricotta pancakes with kiwifruit and berries, honeycomb crunch, vanilla cream and maple syrup. The plating of this dish was immaculate and the ricotta cheese was so light and creamy, which nicely contrasted the tangy berries and fluffy pancakes. Definitely recommend this for anyone with a sweet tooth!
The second dish was the vegetarian burger with vegetable patty, mixed leaves, tomato, beetroot, avocado, sour cream and sweet chilli sauce, served with a side of thick cut chips and aioli and tomato sauce. The serving of avocado was very generous, and the burger was thick and juicy, one of the best vegetarian dishes I’ve tasted and one of the best ways to get a hit of nutrition I’ve come across!
We also couldn’t come here without trying their whipped cream totoro chiffon cake. This was (almost) too cute to eat! I got the last one which was lucky. We loved the light and fluffy texture of the cake, it wasn’t too sweet and you could definitely taste the black sesame flavour.
Overall, the food was plated beautifully and there were decent portion sizes, we loved Cuppaflower and would definitely visit again!
