Three Bags Full is one of those cafes that feels incredibly welcoming and cozy. It is a cafe with a large capacity but feels intimate as the space is split into two main rooms. We’ve been here on many an occasion but will share our most recent visit in this post.
The first dish we ordered was the dramatically named ‘Eggs in hell’. It came with a slab of grilled polenta topped with poached eggs covered in a spicy chorizo ragu (hence, eggs in hell) and garnished with fior de latte and basil. This is an excellent dish for those looking for a bit of a spicier dish. The polenta makes a nice change to grilled bread and the chorizo ragu is deliciously rich and hearty.
The second dish we ordered was the pulled lamb flatbread which came topped with pumpkin hummus, feta, shaved carrot, pomegranate and sesame. This was another great dish – it came highly recommended by our waitress and did not disappoint. The feta cuts through the richness of the lamb well and the carrots add a nice crunch.
Overall, Three Bags Full is a fantastic cafe. They also serve excellent coffee – we highly recommend their new fashioned (modelled after the cocktail the ‘new fashioned’) if you’re looking for a bit of a different coffee experience!
