Uncle Tetsu Angel’s Garden recently opened underneath the original Uncle Tetsu in the Galeries, giving customers the opportunities to dine in and slowly savour these delicious Japanese cheese based desserts. The cafe serves crepes and other options on the menu, as well as different flavours of their famous cheesecakes and cheese tarts.
We came here one day and bought six of their matcha flavoured cheese tart, taking a few home for later. The matcha flavour was quite strong in this and I slightly preferred the original tart over the matcha tart as I felt the original tart had less flavours competing for your attention.
We also tried a sample of some of the other flavours of their cheesecakes, including matcha and earl grey. They come a cute round ball, as opposed to the original, which comes in a flatter more traditional cake shape and you can order a slice to eat straightaway, as opposed to ordering a whole one to takeaway.
Overall, we enjoyed the Angel Garden as it allowed us to dine in and try different flavours of the famous Uncle Tetsu desserts, however you do pay for this extra service, the cakes are a tad more expensive.
