Mesh is the buffet located on the ground floor of the Crown Promenade Hotel. It is a cut above the more popular and busy Kitchen Workshop buffet. On weekends it offers a seafood buffet and that is what we experienced one Saturday night.
There are so many different food stations to choose from, but first things first, let’s talk about the seafood. The options on offer are cooked prawns, fresh oysters, mussels and crab legs. All are cooked and delicious and there are several different sauces and cut lemons on offer as condiments. My favourite combination was the prawns with the thousand island dressing.
There was also a nice selection of cheese and meats on offer. Cheeses include brie, blue, cheddar, etc. Dried fruits, honey and nuts were provided to pair with the cheese. For meat, there was a nice sopressa as well as some different options for salads. I also really enjoyed the dumplings and pasta selection, simple but delicious comfort food!
Desserts. So many desserts. Whether you were feeling like a cupcake, eclair, ice cream or a dessert cup, Mesh had you covered! My favourite was the chocolate and raspberry cake – and it was vegan too! I must have had a taste of almost every dessert…
Mesh is sure to leave you rolling home, stuffed to the brim with food. The selection of food is insane and you’ll be sure to find something you love, no matter how picky you are!
