I Love Pho is a traditional Vietnamese restaurant located in the North Shore food hub area of Crows Nest. With many dishes being naturally gluten-free and vegetarian options always available, the restaurant served delicious and healthy Asian food. We came here for dinner on a weeknight and will share our experience in this post.
To start off with, we ordered two of the coconut juices which is served naturally in a fresh coconut. The juice was refreshing and light and perfect on a balmy spring night.
We then ordered the Vietnamese crispy pancake with prawn, lean pork and bean sprouts with sweet and sour sauce. This was a delicious dish, the pancake was nice and crispy and the fillings were full of flavour and went well with the sauce.
Next we ordered the Rare wagyu beef pho noodle soup. Their signature dish, the Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup, is made using an authentic Northern style recipe with the full natural flavour imparted from ox bones & spices then simmered for a full 24 hours. The wagyu was so tender, it was not hard to see why this is their signature dish, it was the perfect bowl of noodles and light and delicious.
For our salad we ordered the All in one vermicelli salad with marinated pork skewers, beef and spring roll with carrot, lettuce, bean sprouts, peanut, crispy shallot and vermicelli. I love vermicelli noodles and this noodle salad definitely hit the spot. The pork beef and spring rolls were deliciously grilled and fried and the sweet and sour sauce went perfectly with the salad ingredients and plain vermicelli.
For our main, we ordered the Marinated crispy pork belly with steamed kailan vegetable. This was a great dish to go with jasmine rice, the sauce was rich and the pork belly had the perfect proportion of lean meat and fat and melted in your mouth. The steamed vegetables also made this a really healthy dish, gotta eat your greens!
Overall, I Love Pho is a cosy and authentic restaurant in Crows Nest that does a wide variety of Vietnamese and Asian dishes and also do a great lunch special and have a sister company called Chao catering that caters for events and functions. A must visit for anyone who loves clean and healthy Vietnamese food!
