Those that work in the city are bound to have dropped by the Westfield food court at some point for lunch. One of those outlets is Via Del Corso which satisfies even those with the biggest sweet tooth. We came by one afternoon for an afternoon sweet snack and will share that experience with you.
To start we ordered an ice-cream bun which consisted of a brioche bun filled with three scoops of gelato of your choice and we opted for rainbow, golden daytime and rose and lychee gelato. It was then topped with a macaron and two toppings of your choice and we went for a strawberry and cream macarons, and sprinkles and nutella sauce as the toppings.
We then ordered a selection of their individual cakes. The cakes that we ordered were the Mango and white chocolate; Japonaise, mango and white chocolate mousse, the Pistachio panna cotta; almond sponge, pistachio panna cotta and raspberry jelly, the Red velvet sponge with cheesecake finished with fresh cream and chocolate meringue, and the Snickers; chocolate brownie, mousse and salted caramel. They were all delicious but my favourite was the Snickers – is was so rich and I loved the nutty peanut kick!
Overall if you’re looking for someone to hit that afternoon sweet craving, you’re sure to find something from Via Del Corso that satisfies!
