Chefs Gallery is a casual Asian restaurant located in Macquarie Centre. They have been very successful and the chain has expanded to six restaurants across Sydney, aiming to combine traditional Chinese food with pan Asian influences and contemporary flair to create some of the best Chinese food in Sydney.
We visited this place for a light lunch and ordered two dishes to share. The first dish we ordered was the handmade noodles wok fried with sliced salted pork belly, fried egg, garlic chives, wood ear mushrooms, julienned carrots and topped with crispy pork belly crackling. This was a delicious dish, I really enjoyed the tender pork belly and the mushrooms, which added a nice aroma to the noodles. The pork crackling was also great, though I would have preferred a more generous serving. I also found that the noodles were a touch oily.
For dessert, we ordered the sesame panna cotta with kaffir lime dusted meringue, Azuki beans and a sesame seed tuile. I really enjoyed this dessert, the panna cotta was sweet and creamy, nicely balanced by the crunchy sesame seed tuile and the beans inside incorporated a Asian nice flavour to the dish.
Overall, Chef’s Gallery is a nice Chinese casual dining chain that serves a wide variety of dishes at affordable prices and some creative and delicious desserts. Would recommend a visit for anyone who loves Chinese food with modern influences!
