Encasa Rapido newly opened in the level five food court of Westfield Sydney not long ago serving a range of spanish takeaway sandwiches called Bocadillos as well as tapas, salads and sides and baked treats. It is the perfect weekday lunch option and I tried it out one friday lunch time.
We ordered the Chorizo bocadillo; Grilled Spanish sausage with roast capsicum, tomato, Spanish onion & aioli on baguette bread. This was a delicious sandwich with generous fillings, I loved the chorizo which went nicely with the tomato and spanish onion while the aioli was nice and creamy.
We also ordered the Pancho; Crumbed chicken tenderloin, bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, chipotle mayo. This was also delicious, the chicken was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside and went well with the bacon, while the chipotle mayo added a nice kick.
For our side, we ordered the Patatas Bravas, Fried potato with spicy tomato & aioli. This was so decadent and definitely a share dish, I would have preferred slightly less mayo as it was so creamy! We also ended the meal with some of the traditional Spanish cookies with dulce de leche. I really enjoyed these, the fillings were generous and the cookie was nice and buttery.
Overall, Encasa is a great lunch option for those looking for a healthy and tasty weekday lunch i the food court, it serves authentic and delicious Spanish food!
