Basket Brothers is a new cafe in Parramatta, their second branch after their branch in the CBD. The cafe is large and spacious and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. We came here for brunch one day to check out the menu.
To start off with we ordered the beef brisket with potato, carrot, fried egg, rocket, jalapeno salsa is one of the most interesting brunch dishes I have ever tried. I loved the smoky flavour of the slow cooked beef and the salsa gave it a great kick!
The second dish we ordered was the Brothers Basket with 2 poached eggs, bacon, chorizo, mushroom, spinach, roasted tomato, house relish and sourdough. This classic dish was done well, I loved the variety of ingredients, the perfect brunch feed!
For our drinks, we ordered the bubblegum and red velvet milkshakes. These are off their secret instagram menu and they are delicious, creamy, not too sweet and beautifully decorated.
Finally for dessert, we finished with the sweet tooth toast with chocolate soil, pistachio, berries, vanilla mascarpone and maple syrup. I loved the vanilla mascarpone which was perfectly contrasted by the berries and the crunchy pistachio.
Overall, Basket Brothers is a great new cafe in Parramatta. They serve inventive and high quality food and the service is fast and efficient. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!
