Beijing Legend is a chinese restaurant located in a square in Pyrmont. It is known for its traditional Beijing food, and we came here for dinner one night, keen to check it out.
To start off with, we ordered the Pork and Chive dumplings and Squid ink seafood dumplings. Both were hand made and delicious, the pork and chive dumplings came in a green pastry and the ingredients combined together well, while the squid ink dumplings were definitely my favourite, with generous filling inside and strong seafood flavour.
Next we ordered the Combination mixed vegetables with broccoli and bok choy, these were cooked well and healthy, definitely necessary for a meal.
Our next main was the Pork belly in sweet and sour sauce. I loved this dish, the pork belly was fatty and melted in your mouth and the sauce was rich and delicious.
Lastly, we ordered the Stir fry noodles with braised beef. The noodles were a little oily for my liking but I enjoyed the braised beef, though I felt like the dish would have been nicer if there was more ingredients with the beef.
Overall, Beijing legend does authentic, Chinese food in a homely setting, perfect for dinner with the family. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area!
Love At First Bite dined as guests of Beijing Legend. All opinions are my own.
