Nama Poke is a poke store in the CBD that serves fresh and tasty poke bowls, both signature and custom build your own bowls. I came for a long Friday lunch with my colleague, keen for a healthy and delicious meal.

We ordered three bowls. The first was the SHOYU KINGFISH with shoyu sauce, pickled carrots, red cabbage, avocado, edamame, seaweed salad & crispy onions. I loved this bowl, the avocado was nice and creamy, while the pickled carrots added an interesting flavour while the crispy onions added a good crunch.

The next bowl was the SESAME SALMON with roasted sesame sauce, pickled carrots, edamame beans, corn, avocado, nori & macadamia nuts. I loved this bowl too, the sesame flavour was strong and the corn added a sweet flavour, while the macadamia nuts were a nice crunchy topping.

The third bowl was the Wasabi shoyu tuna with wasabi shoyu sauce, cucumber, edamame beans, radish, wakame, seaweed salad & tobiko. This was another good bowl, the wasabi sauce added some spice while the seaweed added a freshness. All bowls had fresh and high quality sashimi.

For our dessert, we could not resist the Acai bowl with hand made granola, strawberries, banana, dried apricot, coconut flakes and chia seeds. This was delicious and refreshing, the granola was crunchy while the fruit was nice and fresh and the coconut flakes added good flavour.

Overall, Nama Poke is one of the best poke bowl joints around, and the long line on Friday lunch time proved it! Definitely check it out for a fresh and healthy feed.
