Jung ta Bal is a newly opened Korean BBQ restaurant in the Sydney CBD that is famous for their premium wagyu meats and sides. I loved wagyu so came here with a group of friends to try out their menu for dinner.
We ordered the premium wagyu set with wagyu short rib, scotch fillet and oyster blade. I loved all the marbling here, it was so fresh and melt in your mouth.
We also got the Ox tongue which was so thinly sliced and perfect.
The last bbq meat was the Pork belly, it had a good ratio of meat to fat and was delicious when cooked. These all came with unlimited sides including kimchi and potato.
Next we tried the Braised king short ribs, the meat here was tender and fell off the bone and the marinade was very nice.
We also tried their Cold noodle soup, it was simple but delicious, the noodles here were very chewy.
We also ordered the Raw beef tartare with slices cucumber and turnip. I love a good tartare and this did not disappoint. The egg yolk mixed together with the marinade to create a delicious dish and the meat was so fresh.
We finished with some Seafood pancake, some places overdo the vegetables in the pancake but this one had a good ratio between all the ingredients and was nice and crispy.
Overall, Jung Ta Bal might just be my favourite new Korean BBQ restaurant in the city. The meats here are just so fresh and tender and the variety of dishes means there’s also plenty of other choice.
Love at First Bite dined as a guest of the establishment and / or their representatives. All opinions are my own.
